The monthly Red Robin meeting

Tonight was the Star Wars collector's meeting at Red Robin. Last Tuesday of every month always brings an extremely large haul of toys. This month was no exception as I spent over 100 dollars on assorted toys that Chris had picked up for me over the last month, plus several army builders from Jim and a few other local guys.

Check out part of the haul!

Packing up the Star Wars Room

This weekend I spent over 12 hours packing up my collection, because we're moving to a new house at the end of the month.

I started with the easy stuff (carded figures), then moved on to the loose figures. I put figures into hundreds of Ziploc bags that were leftover from the last time I moved the collection. After that it was odds and ends, plus all those collectibles I have that AREN'T Star Wars. In the end, the entire room is filled with boxes but it's pretty much ready to go except for the vehicles.

Right before I packed the room up, I did take pictures of the collection in all it's glory. I will have to post those to a proper website someday soon, as both proof that I did have a Star Wars room once and inspiration to create a new one in the new house.

Sideshow Qui Gon on order

I started hitting the Sideshow Collectibles site this morning before 10am trying to get my pre-order in for their latest figure. They include an extra accessory with the "exclusive" figures, this one being a poncho for Qui-Gon. It took me 19 minutes, but I got my order in before the 2000 of them sold out 11 minutes later.

I suppose it's a lot easier than driving to some store and waiting in line for the doors to open, but it's still frustrating having to pound on a website for a figure every time it comes out.

Now I have to wait until September or so for it to get here.
